A High School to Healthcare Summer Program

For one week during the summer, a group of high school students got ahead of the game with a hands-on experience at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System.

Health Care summer program, where you can shadow health professionals in a hospital setting. This program is open to current high school sophomores, juniors and seniors.

How can you apply for the High School to Health Care summer program?

These students applied for this week-long opportunity to shadow healthcare professionals in a hospital setting. Your school career development facilitator is your contact and will work with Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System to choose participants. Students applying for the summer program will need to:

  • Provide a 250-word essay on why you wish to participate in the program.

  • Have a 3.0 GPA and provide a copy of your high school transcript.

  • Obtain a letter of recommendation from your high school principal, teacher or counselor. Recommendations from family members will not be accepted.
